Day 01: Arrival in Manado

1. Transfer to Swissbel Hotel

Day 02: Manado – Makassar – Jayapura

• After breakfast transfer to the airport, we will travel by Air to Makassar and connected flight to Jayapura
• Arrival at Sentani Airport Jayapura
• Transfer to Hotel
• Lunch
• Visit local market in Sentani to see the people selling their garden products and drive around Sentani town
• Back to Hotel
• Dinner
• Overnight stay

Day 03: Jayapura – Wamena - Jiwika (Pig Feast)

• Breakfast early morning
• Transfer to Sentani airport for our flight to Wamena it tooks around 35 minutes
• Arrive at Wamena
• Transfer to Baliem Plamo hotel
• Proceed to visit Lani traditional village in Napua and stop at Sinatma traditional market
• Lunch
• Drive to North of Baliem Valley to Jiwika to see the Mummy and the Dani Peg Feast and Dance
• Late afternoon back to Balem Pilamo Hotel
• Dinner
• Overnight Stay

Day 04: Wamena - Kosarek - Serkasi

• Breakfast
• Flight with Missionary charter flight to Kosarek (Home of Yali - Mek tribe up i the Southeast of Wamena)
• Before landing you can see local people around the landing strip with curious eyes Kosarek area was opened by Missionary in 1970’s but the people still keep the traditional alive.  They practiced cannibalism all at once great farmers and live in the remote area which is difficult to get contact with others places. We have time to organize porters until get ready leaving for Serkasi to stay over night. After passed Walsaldek village  and Tenkomne river  and up to Wiring hill about 2 hours
• Lunch box will be served
• Dinner and overnight stay at local people house

Day 05: Serkasi - Pimohon - Telambela

• Going down to Tipson waterfall  it is 60 m and going up to Isril and Jenggu mountains about 3 hours
• Then going down again to cross traditional hanging bridge on Lilom river for lunch. After lunch going up to  Pimohon  village on the hill and another 2 hours you will arrive in Telambela 
• Dinner and overnight stay at Bible Teacher’s house

Day 06: Telambela

• Today is the highlight of your journey and relaxing day, your guide arranges Pig feast and dance. All the Yally people who participate during ceremony no one of them with western cloths and you can join with them for dance too. Lunch we will served local food with grill pig. At noon you can explore the village nearby

Day 07: Telambela - Membaham

• Breakfast
• Going down to Tumolo’s river and up to Punum village to view surrounding scenery. And down again to Walom small waterfall to soak your aching bones in not polluted water. The scenery on the entire trekking is amazing you also can hear or sometimes watch the Birds of Paradise or Cockatoos on the way and have a great adventurous feeling.
• Lunch box are provided
• Dinner and overnight at Local house

Day 08: Membaham - Helariki

• Breakfast
• Today is longest trek up and down thru jungle and cross Puldam river then going up to Osonggobak mountain in 1 hour, then going down again to cross traditional hanging bridge on the Obalege river
• Lunch
• Visit Osonggobak village then 1,5 hours later you will arrive in helariki village
• Dinner and overnight stay

Day 09: Helariki -Angguruk

• Going down to Obahek river about 2 hours with its difficult trek and steep river bank down and really dangerous one.
• Lunch we will served side of river, after lunch climb to Angguruk thru the Yally garden in another 2 hours. After arrived in angguruk you can explore Angguruk surrounding nearby or visit local hospital which built by Missionary
• Dinner and overnight stay at Missionary guest house

Day 10: Angguruk – Yaniruma – Tree House Hamlet

• Depart by charter flight to Yaniruma. The flight usually need about 1 hour one way.
• Upon arrival at Yaniruma (Yaniruma is the starting point to see the tree house tribes), we will need to report to the local chief and organize our porters.
• Afterward we start by paddling canoes to cross Sekom and Dairam Hitam river. Then trek in 3 hours to a hamlet.
• On arrival usually the tribe come to greet and welcoming us. Overnight at shelters or tents

Day 11 - 13: Explore The Tree House Activities

• We will spend these 04 days trekking is some of the most pristine lowland rain forest in the world. Along the way we will try and stay with the various tribes those inhabit the region. The Korowai are more territorial than the neighboring Kombai. And the Korowai Batu is even more so. These tribes still practice cannibalism, and they can be aggressive. Don't worry they won't eat us. It is ritual cannibalism among the tribe, sometimes walk over the log or fallen tree and crossing the river with or without bridge. This is the tropical rain forest in the vast-green lowland of South Irian Jaya or Papua, there are many exotic things to be discovered and experienced but with a great deal with mosquito, swamp, heat and high humidity (85 - 100%). Our trek in the forest will support by our local porter who carry our bags or gears and will love to help you to do some difficult section of the trip when you need. We arrive in Dambol in the noon, and will meet the first Korowai family on their tree house. Korowai is a nomad people who always move from one place to another at least once every 3 years. They were not live in large group, that at every location of the tree house we only see 2-4 tree house built side by side. The Korowai also a great hunter who hunted pigs, Cus-Cus, birds most of their time in life. After we met the Korowai and family on their tree house, we may interact with them help by our guide and experience their life. Overnight at our tent or at shelter we build near the tree house soon after we arrive. During the time with Koroway we can follow their daily activities: hunting, setting trap of wild pigs, gathering Sago flour, fishing in traditional way

Day 14: Hamlet - Yaniruma

• We will trek back to Yaniruma where the plane dropped us off. Before we arrive in Yaniruma we will stop at Dairam Kabur river for fresh swim and clean up our dirty bodies from the mud.
• Afternoon arrive in Yaniruma
• Dinner and overnight missionary house

Day 15: Yaniruma - Wamena - Jayapura

• Return to the civilization in Wamena
• Depart by chartered flight to Wamena and then by the scheduled Trigana flight to Jayapura.
• Upon arrival in Jayapura we will do sightseeing tour to visit World War II monument, Museum, souvenir shops.
• Late afternoon drive to the hotel
• Dinner and overnight

Day 16: Jayapura - Bali

• Breakfast
• Transfer in time to Sentani airport for our flight to Bali
• Check in at Hotel in Bali
• Lunch
• Sightseeing around Bali
• Farewell Dinner
• Tour Evaluation
• Bali Dance
• Overnight Stay

Day 17: Bali – Airport

• Transfer to the airport for your next destination
• End of our service

Advise for this trip:

Travelers are required to bring 3 pieces of photograph size 4x6 and copy of passport (must be valid at least six month) and visa to arrange the traveling permit, these documents can be brought by you and submit them to us upon arrival in Sentani airport of Jayapura.

The weather in the highland is cold while in the low land is hot and humid it is recommended to bring with you such as mattresses, mosquito net, rain coat, hat, plastics and medicine against malaria.
