we really hoped to see dolphins, and thankfully we were in great luck! The weather was great, the sun shined brightly on the quiet blue sea, and then, after sailing for 45 minutes, we spotted a group of around 50 spinner dolphins. They jumped a lot, making saltos and spinning out of the water, swimming in front and under the boat for about 10 minutes. It was great! They were beautiful and incredibly fast. We tried to jump in with them, but they just left, leaving us with only their high pitched singing in our ears. We sailed on, and suddenly saw 4 pilot-whales about 50 metres away. They didn't come any closer, but stayed around for about 15 minutes; we left them, being very happy with everything. But the trip wasn't over yet! After another hour in the boat, it suddenly changed direction Eddie had seen something. 200 dolphins were swimming in the distance, in the waters between Naen and Mantehage. Incredible! They jumped and spinner and swam under and around the boat for a very long time it was amazing. The great volcano island of Manado tua made the perfect background for their playful jumps, and we could follow them with our eyes deep down in the clear blue water. There were several groups of dolphins that had decided to come together at this spot, it seemed, so we were extremely happy and cheerful. We jumped in the water with our masks on, and got to see them for a few seconds underwater, before they went away. What a perfect end to a perfect trip! We went back to Siladen, very happy and very tired, from a trip that matched and surpassed our expectations in every way. So to you Eddie, and Freddie and Dee a big thank you! From Mogens, Inge, Rune and Gorm Larsen, Denmark. We recommend this trip to everyone! |

We did the Tangkoko Nature Reserve + Minahasa Higland Tour with Bagus. He was very friendly and helpfull - he gave us a lots of local knowledge. A portion of the fee was used to buy some school excercise books, they were given to local small children who more geminely pleased to receive them. Bagus was entertaining and organized the tour well - he was good company |
